Hmm…I’m just sitting on my sofa with my puppy curled up next me. I’m quite tired, but very content. I spent much of the morning cooking and cleaning. There were some failures–like me almost cutting off my thumb–and then some very yummy success–Zucchini and Spinach Frittata with Sweet Potato and Bacon crust.
I’m quite pleased with myself. That’s all my mind can handle right now. However, I do want to outline my goals for this week. Unlike last week in which the challenges covered my body, mind and soul, the three new challenges this week are dedicated to my body and fitness. I am still going to keep some of last week’s challenges but they won’t be my primary focus.
Here are the three new challenges for the week:
1. Walk 8000 steps daily
2. Record food daily
3. Drink 32oz of water
These goals are the next steps in my goal of taking better care of myself. Right now, I’m great at taking time to take a bath, to get a massage or manicure. However, I don’t feel like I spend enough energy in exercising or eating the right food or drinking enough water. So this week I will work to change that. Eating breakfast last week made me more aware of the gaps in my self-care. This week I will celebrate my accomplishments and challenge myself to do more.
