crossing the finish line

Upside down

Sometimes I see the world upside down.

Good is bad

Bad is good

Most of the time I’m aware of my upside view of the world, yet I’m am unable to change it. I’m trapped upside down and I feel powerless. Then one of my friends flips me. The words of a close friend can make me see things a different way. Their words encourage me to let go of whatever is holding me in an inverted reality.

Today was one of those days. I had worked myself up into an inverted reality where I couldn’t see the true nature of another’s feelings. Thankfully my friend verbally slapped me. Within a 10 minute call, I began to see the world in a whole new way. I even received a phone call to confirm this new outlook.

Everyday I know I see things different than my peers. But maybe us who see not upside down will change the world
