On this last day of 2012, I thought that I would outline my goals for 2013. I’m trying to balance between being realistic (see Fitness goals) and challenging myself. Hopefully these goals will also lead to new opportunities and experiences for the upcoming year.
365 project: Since I love picture but don’t seem to take them, I thought that it would be a great exercise for me to take a daily picture. Sometimes it will be a picture of my dog or myself, and other times it will be a picture of my world around me. Either way it should be an interesting experience, and maybe even help with my writing too.

Writing: I really want to put more thought into my writing, especially on this blog. So my goal for 2013 will be to average at least 200 words per post, which gives me the flexibility to write a little one day and a lot on another day. I’m coming up with some regular weekly themed posts which should help with my struggle for content.
Personal training: Commit to 1.5 hours per week
Spinning: Commit to one class weekly
Pilates/Yoga/Barre: Commit to one class weekly
Charity Knitting: Knit a blanket on a quarterly basis for Project Linus. The charity provides “love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
Use what you own: Knit yarns that I own but haven’t tried before. After doing a review of my stash of yarn, I discovered that I own nearly 25 yarns that I haven’t tried at all and I have in multiple colors. So it’s time to pull them out and knit with them and decide if I like them or not. It should prove to be an educational adventure.
It’s hard for me to name specific places that I want to visit since I want to go everywhere (well, almost everywhere). So instead I would like to set the intention of potential travel for 2013, which can fit for different destinations based on life’s opportunities.
DONE – 2/25/13 – A trip that challenges me: India, China, anything that is outdoorsy, or challenges my comfort zone
A trip to reconnect with a friend: Either traveling with a friend some place or visiting a place specifically to spend time with a friend
A trip that makes my heart sing: London, Rome, or some place that just makes me happy
Your goals are inspiring, Michelle! Love the “blanketeers” project … and the color of this beautiful site, too!!
Thank you. I’m going to try to post pictures as I completed each goal too.
I love this! I should make a goal list and put it on my blog as well–there’s nothing like inspiration to do something like having the whole world read up on your progress 😉
Yes, I actually need to revise/revisit these goals.
